The Self Locking Washer is used in connection with lacing anchors, weld pins to fasten insulation blankets or covers in place, Just press the self-locking washer onto the pin up to the insulation materials until the desired position is reached. Then clip off, (or bend over) the remaining portion of pin for a permanent attachment.

Both Round or Square self locking washers are available as a matter of design or application preference. the domed, multi-lanced hole design provides for ease of locating washers on pin and positive locking. Round washers are used in various industries and applications such as:

Fastener Support: Round washers are often used under nuts, bolts, or screws to provide support and distribute the load over a larger surface area. They help prevent the fastener from sinking into the material or causing damage, especially when dealing with soft or brittle materials.

Plumbing and Pipe Fittings: Round washers are commonly used in plumbing systems, specifically in pipe fittings and connections. They help create a watertight seal to prevent leaks and provide stability to the plumbing assembly.

Electrical Applications: Round washers can be used in electrical systems to provide electrical insulation and prevent the flow of current between different components. They are commonly placed between metal surfaces and electrical connections to isolate and protect against short circuits or electrical interference.

Automotive Industry: In automotive applications, round washers are used in various ways, such as in suspension systems, engine mounts, and brake assemblies. They provide stability, prevent loosening of fasteners, and act as a cushion to absorb vibrations and shocks experienced in vehicle operations.
